AUSTIN: Avid, developer of the first AI-powered Fundraising Operating System, announced Thursday it has raised $6.5 million in seed funding led by Silverton Partners, an Austin-based venture capital firm.
The investment will support Avid’s mission to streamline nonprofit fundraising by integrating strategy and execution into a single platform. Already adopted by leading nonprofit organizations, Avid’s system unifies data, insights, and campaign deployment tools to eliminate friction and accelerate impact.
“Fundraising is one of the most mission-critical functions in the world—and yet it’s been held back for decades by tools that don’t work together,” said Ray Gary, CEO of Avid. “We’re rebuilding fundraising from the ground up, putting strategy and execution on demand for every nonprofit team.”
Kevin Peters, Avid’s founder and CTO, said the platform was designed to address persistent challenges in nonprofit operations. “We’re not just surfacing insights—we’re closing the loop from data to deployment so fundraisers can spend less time managing tools and more time driving impact,” Peters said.
Silverton Partners’ Rob Taylor said the firm was drawn to Avid’s deep understanding of nonprofit complexity and its innovative use of AI. “Nonprofits are under increasing pressure to do more with less, and Avid gives them the system to do exactly that,” Taylor said.
With the new capital, Avid plans to expand its team and accelerate product development, AI capabilities, and go-to-market initiatives.
Founded by veteran fundraisers and technologists, Avid aims to help nonprofits plan, personalize, and execute campaigns faster by transforming fragmented workflows into unified, data-driven action.
