PARIS: Sodexo has appointed Thierry Delaporte as Group Chief Executive Officer, effective Nov. 10, 2025, marking a significant leadership transition for the global food services and facilities management company.

The decision follows a comprehensive selection process led by the Nominating Committee in coordination with the Bellon family. Delaporte succeeds Sophie Bellon, who has served as CEO since 2021 and will continue as non-executive Chairwoman of the Board of Directors.

The governance shift separates the roles of CEO and Chairwoman, aligning with best practices. Gilles Pélisson, Chair of the Nominating Committee, will assume the role of Lead Independent Director, succeeding Luc Messier.

“Thierry Delaporte emerged as the best leader to drive the next stages of Sodexo’s growth,” Pélisson said. “His international experience, deep understanding of the U.S. market, and alignment with Sodexo’s values make him an ideal fit.”

François-Xavier Bellon, Chairman of the Management Board of Bellon SA, welcomed the appointment, emphasizing Delaporte’s strategic capabilities and the family’s support for his leadership.

Sophie Bellon expressed confidence in Delaporte’s ability to guide Sodexo into its next phase, citing the company’s recent structural transformations and readiness for renewed growth.

Delaporte, formerly CEO of Wipro and a veteran of Capgemini, said he was “delighted” to join Sodexo and looked forward to engaging with teams, clients, and partners.

The leadership transition signals Sodexo’s commitment to long-term growth, improved profitability, and strengthened market position.
