NORTH BALTIMORE: Nickolas Asset Management (NAM), together with the Reinhart Family of Companies and its portfolio company Configure Brands, announced today the acquisition of OGO and Medal Technologies, including a 32,500-square-foot production facility in North Baltimore.
The acquisition is designed to significantly expand manufacturing capacity for the combined entities. The facility will immediately begin producing the proprietary product lines of OGO and Medal Technologies while also absorbing the production of Configure’s 50 Strong brand. Company leadership stated this streamlined approach is expected to double the facility’s revenue.
As part of a long-term investment, NAM plans to double the facility’s physical size, machine count, and workforce, a move aimed at driving economic growth in the local community.
“This acquisition is a perfect example of how our shared services model delivers real results,” said Dave Feldman, Group President of Configure Brands. “By combining NAM’s resources with the strengths of OGO and Medal Technologies, we can accelerate production, scale more efficiently, and create new opportunities for our teams and our customers.”
The acquisition was facilitated through NAM’s model, which provides centralized shared services – including finance, HR, logistics, compliance, engineering, and product development – to its founder-led businesses. This structure is intended to allow companies to scale seamlessly while maintaining their operational focus.
Nickolas L. Reinhart, Founder of Nickolas Asset Management, emphasized the firm’s long-term philosophy. “Unlike traditional private equity that buys to flip, we buy to hold,” Reinhart said. “We don’t acquire a company unless we plan to own it forever. This expansion is not just about capacity, it is about investing in people, preserving jobs, and fueling growth in Ohio for generations.”
Configure Brands, which includes 50 Strong, Polymer Outdoor Products and UtilitySinks, expands its portfolio of proprietary products with the addition of OGO and Medal Technologies.
Looking forward, NAM plans to leverage OGO’s product expertise to expand into high-growth categories such as RV, hunting, fishing, off-grid living, and emergency preparedness.
The acquisition reflects NAM’s stated commitments to supporting founder transitions, creating operational synergies, investing in local communities, and building businesses for the long term.
