DAMMAM: The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones, known as MODON, has launched a landmark project in Dammam’s First Industrial City: the Multi-Story Factory, the first of its kind in the Arabian Gulf region.
The eight-story facility spans more than 7,500 square meters and houses 78 industrial units ranging from 156 to 251 square meters. Designed to support entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the project aims to optimize industrial land use and offer flexible, ready-to-operate spaces.
MODON said the initiative is part of its broader strategy to enhance Saudi Arabia’s investment climate and industrial competitiveness. The factory targets key sectors including food production, medical and pharmaceutical manufacturing, electronics, and 3D printing technologies.
“This project reflects our commitment to building an integrated industrial ecosystem that empowers the next generation of industrialists,” MODON said in a statement.
Saudi Arabia is positioning itself as a global industrial hub, leveraging its infrastructure and strategic logistics location. MODON currently oversees 39 industrial cities across the Kingdom, hosting more than 9,000 facilities with cumulative investments exceeding SAR 463 billion.
The Multi-Story Factory is expected to accelerate SME growth and job creation, reinforcing MODON’s role in driving the country’s industrial transformation.
