LONDON: Technologies New Energy plc (LSE: TNE), a UK-based energy transition company, said on Thursday it has acquired Diverfuel S.A., the developer of a digital platform for clean fuel and green chemical production, as part of its strategy to enhance industrial decarbonisation.
The Diverfuel Platform is a scalable SaaS/PaaS middleware solution that integrates IoT and AI technologies to optimise biorefinery and e-refinery operations. It enables real-time sensing, control, analytics and lifecycle management, supporting higher operational efficiency and improved ESG performance.
The acquisition was completed via a share transfer agreement, with no consideration payable. TNE will assume responsibility for further development and commercialisation of the Diverfuel Platform, deploying it across its own clean energy projects and offering it to clients and partners.
“The acquisition of Diverfuel is an important technical step forward for TNE,” said CEO Julio Perez. “By combining this advanced digital platform with our biorefinery pipeline, we can turn our projects into smart, data-driven assets. This not only improves efficiency but also provides the verifiable ESG and carbon data that offtakers are increasingly demanding.”
TNE said the integration of Diverfuel will enhance supply chain transparency for feedstock producers and offer offtakers verifiable data on carbon intensity, traceability and compliance—capabilities that are increasingly critical under tightening global regulations.
The move is expected to strengthen TNE’s ability to secure long-term feedstock and offtake agreements, underpinning the commercial rollout of its biorefinery projects and creating a fully integrated clean energy ecosystem.
