SAN DIEGO: Relation Insurance Services (“Relation”) announced Wednesday that it has acquired the assets of Bridlewood Insurance Services, Inc. (“Bridlewood”), a fast-growing Medicare-focused agency based in San Diego.
The transaction, effective Aug. 1, 2025, expands Relation’s national footprint and deepens its Medicare expertise. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded by Jeff Wetzel to simplify Medicare enrollment for seniors, Bridlewood has grown into one of the leading Medicare agencies on the West Coast, offering Medicare Advantage, prescription drug, and supplemental plans. Wetzel will continue to lead the San Diego office and serve as a Medicare specialist across Relation’s network.
“I started Bridlewood to help people navigate the maze we call Medicare after I saw the confusion my mother went through once she became eligible,” said Wetzel. “Joining Relation—and leveraging their extensive national resources, carrier relationships, and strong service support—is going to enable us to reach so many more people in need.
