PARIS: The Bonduelle Group finalized the sale of its packaged salad business in France to the LSDH Group on July 17, the company said Friday.
The deal, first announced on Aug. 29, 2024, marks Bonduelle’s strategic exit from a segment that has faced a decade-long decline in domestic consumption. The business represented approximately 3.5% of Bonduelle’s annual turnover, or €80 million, in fiscal year 2024–2025.
LSDH, a family-owned business, will continue using the Bonduelle brand for packaged salads in France under a licensing agreement. Bonduelle said it remains confident in LSDH’s plans to revitalize operations and expand the business.
Proceeds from the sale will be reflected in Bonduelle’s financial statements for fiscal 2025–2026, which began July 1. The company said the divestiture will allow it to accelerate its growth in the fresh delicatessen market across France and Europe.
