SACRAMENTO: Inszone Insurance Services, a national provider of commercial, personal and benefits insurance, has acquired Snell-Nelson Insurance Agency, Inc., expanding its footprint in Kansas and Oklahoma.
Founded in Ashland, Kan., in 1985 by Monica Meininger, Snell-Nelson Insurance built its reputation on serving clients in farm and ranch, oil and gas, and personal insurance lines. The agency, which partnered with Stephenson, Baggs & Guthrie, LLC (SBG-SBS), explored several options before selecting Inszone.
“Inszone Insurance presented an offer and growth model that closely mirrored our own,” said Jon Baggs, who has led Snell-Nelson since 2017. “Out of all the companies that approached us, Inszone stood out as the clear choice.”
Chris Walters, CEO of Inszone, said the acquisition supports the company’s strategy for growth in the Midwest.
“Their expertise and client-first culture align perfectly with our mission,” Walters said. “We’re excited to welcome them into the Inszone family.”
The deal will give Snell-Nelson clients access to Inszone’s broader carrier network and national resources while maintaining the local service they’ve known.
Headquartered in Sacramento, Calif., Inszone was founded in 2002 and serves clients across 18 states through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
