HELSINKI: Epassi Group has acquired Spain-based VIP District, a leading employee rewards and engagement platform, marking a key step in its European expansion strategy. The deal follows Epassi’s recent purchase of U.K. benefits provider Zest and strengthens its presence in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands.

Founded in 2010, VIP District serves more than 3,000 companies with digital solutions for employee rewards, recognition and engagement. The acquisition combines Epassi’s multi-benefit platform with VIP District’s reward services, creating a broader offering for employers.

“This partnership accelerates our ambition to build the leading European tech platform for employee benefits and wellbeing,” said Pekka Rantala, CEO of Epassi Group. “VIP District brings a strong market position, an excellent team and a shared passion for innovation.”

Jesús Alonso, CEO of VIP District, said the deal supports the company’s goal of becoming a top European employee engagement platform. “By combining forces, we can deliver even more value to our customers,” he said.

Epassi now serves over 45,000 employers and 29 million users across nine European markets.
