AUSTIN: Autonomize AI, a U.S.-based startup developing artificial intelligence solutions for healthcare, has secured $28 million in Series A funding, bringing its total capital raised to $32 million.

The investment round was led by Valtruis, The Cigna Group Ventures and Tau Ventures, with participation from existing investors including Asset Management Ventures, ATX Venture Partners and Capital Factory, the company announced Thursday.

Autonomize AI plans to use the funding to expand its Agentic AI Orchestration platform, which aims to streamline healthcare operations by reducing administrative tasks. The company says the technology will allow clinicians and other healthcare professionals to focus more on patient care while addressing issues like rising costs, burnout and inefficiencies.

“The current healthcare system is no longer suited for the way care is delivered today—and too often, patients and clinicians pay the price in delayed treatment, wasted time and unnecessary friction,” said Ganesh Padmanabhan, CEO of Autonomize AI. “Automation alone is not the answer for healthcare, but accountable, human-centered AI augmentation is.”

Mike Spadafore, managing director at Valtruis, said the healthcare industry is primed for AI adoption but needs solutions that align with real-world workflows. “Autonomize AI gets that,” he said.

“Their platform enables healthcare operators to quickly deploy and scale AI agents across high-impact use cases.”

Craig Cimini, head of The Cigna Group Ventures, added that the company’s approach aligns with the goal of augmenting—rather than replacing—healthcare workers. “We see tremendous potential in their platform to drive scalable, responsible innovation,” he said.

Autonomize AI’s technology is already being used by several major U.S. healthcare organizations, though specific names were not disclosed. The company says its platform helps optimize operations while keeping patient care at the center of decision-making.
