ADELAIDE: Wolters Kluwer Health has announced the acquisition of IntelliLearn Pty Ltd., an Australian-based provider of online healthcare training solutions for nursing schools in Australia and the U.S. The move strengthens Wolters Kluwer’s position in nursing education, integrating IntelliLearn’s offerings into its Health, Learning, Research & Practice (HLRP) division.
According to a statement, IntelliLearn, founded in 2010 and headquartered in Adelaide, delivers cloud-based programs used by educational institutions across Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the U.S. Its solutions, including medication safety and medical math training, will now complement Wolters Kluwer’s Lippincott suite of nursing education products.
“We’re excited to bring IntelliLearn’s innovative solutions into our Lippincott portfolio,” said Julie Stegman, Vice President and General Manager of Wolters Kluwer Health, Learning & Practice. “This acquisition allows us to offer a wider range of training modules, further preparing nursing students for real-world practice.”
As part of the deal, IntelliLearn’s seven full-time employees and a network of contract workers will join Wolters Kluwer Health. The company expects the acquisition to generate a return on invested capital (ROIC) above its weighted after-tax cost of capital (WACC) within three to five years, with minimal impact on adjusted earnings.
The acquisition underscores Wolters Kluwer’s commitment to expanding its digital education offerings in the healthcare sector, reinforcing its leadership in nursing and medical training solutions worldwide.
