STERLING: Defense technology firm Vibrint announced Tuesday it has acquired Ampsight, a provider of multi-cloud engineering, cybersecurity and AI solutions for federal agencies. The deal expands Vibrint’s reach into geospatial intelligence and enhances its IT lifecycle offerings.
Ampsight specializes in explainable AI for geospatial and multimodal data, addressing transparency challenges in federal AI adoption. Its Northern Virginia presence also grows Vibrint’s regional footprint.
“Ampsight’s expertise in cloud, cyber and AI aligns with the future of mission operations,” said Vibrint CEO Tom Lash. Ampsight CEO Andrew Heifetz called the merger “a fantastic outcome,” offering broader customer access.
Financial terms were undisclosed. Baird advised Vibrint, while McLean Group LLC and Executive Council PLC advised Ampsight.
The combined company will focus on secure cloud architecture, zero-trust cybersecurity and quantum-ready solutions for national security needs.
