COPENHAGEN: Napatech, a leading provider of programmable network interface cards (NICs), has partnered with Eideticom to introduce new solutions for cryptographic acceleration and transparent compression in data centers. The collaboration aims to optimize performance for compute-intensive workloads in mission-critical networks.
The Cryptographic Accelerator offloads security operations, supporting both classical and post-quantum algorithms to ensure future-proof protection while reducing CPU load and power consumption. The Transparent Compression solution improves data processing efficiency, maximizing storage and bandwidth without sacrificing speed. Both innovations leverage Napatech’s programmable SmartNICs and infrastructure processing units (IPUs), built with Intel and Altera technology.
The solutions were demonstrated at the STAC Summit in New York, a key event for networking and artificial intelligence in financial services data centers.
“AI and cloud computing are transforming data center networks, expanding the need for programmable NICs,” said Lars Boilesen, CEO of Napatech. “Eideticom’s scalable, high-performance solutions address these growing demands.”
Roger Bertschmann, CEO of Eideticom, called the partnership a “game changer,” citing improved efficiency and security. Mark Moran, Altera’s director of boards and partners, highlighted the role of FPGA technology in driving data center innovation.
The solutions aim to meet rising demand for high-performance, energy-efficient data processing in cloud and AI-driven environments.
