GENEVA: SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES), a subsidiary of WISeKey, has entered into a strategic agreement to acquire a 30% equity stake in WeCanGroup SA.

The collaboration aims to bolster cybersecurity resilience in the Web 3.0 ecosystem, focusing on post-quantum cryptography, Internet of Things (IoT) security, and safeguarding financial sectors against quantum-enabled cyber threats.

The partnership will integrate Web 3.0 and post-quantum cryptographic technologies to develop advanced Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB), and Know Your Object (KYO) solutions. These innovations will be embedded in SEALSQ’s post-quantum semiconductors to provide long-term security for financial and IoT sectors as quantum computing evolves.

In the financial sector, WeCanGroup’s blockchain compliance solutions will incorporate SEALSQ’s post-quantum encryption to protect digital transactions. Enhanced identity verification will aim to minimize fraud risks and improve regulatory compliance for banks, asset managers, and decentralized finance platforms. WeCanGroup’s compliance data platform, WeCan Comply, will benefit from quantum-resistant digital signatures and blockchain-backed records.

The partnership also addresses cybersecurity challenges in IoT, where billions of connected devices require robust protections. SEALSQ will embed post-quantum cryptographic algorithms into secure semiconductors to ensure device authentication and encrypted communications, strengthening IoT security in industries like healthcare, autonomous vehicles, and industrial automation.

By combining blockchain technologies with post-quantum cryptography, SEALSQ and WeCanGroup aim to set new standards for security and trust within Web 3.0 ecosystems, emphasizing decentralized identity management, secure tokenization of assets, and regulatory compliance automation.
