Superloop completes Uecomm acquisition, expands fiber network

SYDNEY: Superloop Limited (ASX: SLC) announced the successful completion of its acquisition of Uecomm Pty Ltd (Uecomm) on December 9, 2024. This strategic move adds over 2,000 kilometers of high-capacity fiber assets to Superloop’s existing network.
The acquisition includes 800 kilometers of owned duct infrastructure, providing connectivity to more than 1,900 buildings and approximately 50 data centers. This expansion strengthens Superloop’s presence in the central business districts and metropolitan areas of Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane/Gold Coast.
Superloop’s CEO and Managing Director, Paul Tyler, highlighted the acquisition’s strategic benefits. “This acquisition supports our Smart Communities ambitions and lowers capex connections to new buildings and broadband developments,” Tyler said.
Over the next 12 to 15 months, Superloop will focus on transitioning operations, productizing the acquired assets, and realizing on-net synergies across its existing footprint. This acquisition is a key component of Superloop’s three-year “Double Down” strategy.
