PERTH: Nanoveu Limited (ASX: NVU) announced on February 10, 2025, that it has executed a binding Share Sale Agreement to acquire 100% of Embedded A.I. Systems Pte. Ltd. (EMASS), a leading System-on-Chip (SoC) semiconductor design company.
This strategic acquisition positions Nanoveu to accelerate its growth in AI-driven edge semiconductor solutions, targeting markets such as wearables, autonomous vehicles, drones, medical devices, and smart home systems.
The acquisition follows shareholder approval and the completion of due diligence. Nanoveu’s move into semiconductors aligns with the growing global demand for ultra-low power, edge computing, and AI applications. The company plans to integrate EMASS’s ultra-low-power SoC technology into its EyeFly3D™ platform, enhancing real-time, glasses-free 3D conversion capabilities.
The acquisition is structured with the acquisition value tied to script and future performance milestones, aligning shareholder interests. EMASS’s ultra-low-power architecture will enable Nanoveu to enhance its offerings in battery-powered devices, reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints.
Mark Goranson, Nanoveu Semiconductor CEO, emphasized the potential of EMASS’s technology: “With up to 12 TOPs per watt, our ultra-low-power AI SoC is not just smaller and faster, in my opinion, it’s the future of energy-efficient computing.”
Dr. Mohamed Sabry Aly, Founder of EMASS, will continue to contribute to Nanoveu’s strategic vision, leveraging his extensive experience in hardware innovation and semiconductor design.
Nanoveu joins a select group of ASX-listed semiconductor innovators, positioning itself alongside companies like Ambiq, Syntiant, and ETA Compute. EMASS’s chipset has demonstrated strong performance in preliminary MLPerf Tiny v1.2 benchmarking, highlighting its energy efficiency and reliability.
The integration of EMASS’s SoC technology is expected to enhance Nanoveu’s EyeFly3D™ platform, enabling faster, latency-free rendering of 2D-to-3D content on portable devices like smartphones and tablets. This advancement will support applications in digital signage, medical devices, and retail displays.
The acquisition opens new opportunities in industrial IoT, AI-driven analytics, and 3D displays. Potential applications include medical imaging, smart home security devices, and advanced robotics.
Nanoveu plans to integrate EMASS’s technology into its EyeFly3D™ platform, with initial demonstrations expected later in 2025. The company is engaging with potential OEMs and IoT ecosystem partners to expand distribution and drive new revenue opportunities.
Nanoveu Limited specializes in advanced films and coatings, with products like EyeFly3D™ and Nanoshield™. The company is headquartered in Perth, Australia.
EMASS is a pioneering technology company specializing in the design and development of advanced SoC solutions for ultra-low-power, AI-driven processing in smart devices and IoT applications.
