Possible iPhone 17 Air rear panel components leaked

Apple iPhone 15 Pro

Tech leaker Majin Bu has released images purportedly showing rear panel components of the rumored iPhone 17 Air. The photos suggest a glimpse of the design for Apple’s anticipated new smartphone model.

The images reveal a single camera housing, suggesting that they belong to the iPhone 17 Air, Apple’s rumored thin smartphone model that reportedly features just one camera, similar to the iPhone SE range. This design aligns with previous leaks indicating that Apple is adopting a new width-spanning camera module design for the iPhone 17.

Initial interpretations compared the new design language to Google’s wide-spanning visor, but subsequent claims suggest Apple will maintain its triangular alignment for the Pro models with three cameras. The raised camera component in the leaked images hints at a potentially slimmer body.

However, the low-quality, anonymously sourced images warrant caution. MacRumors notes that Majin Bu’s track record is mixed, with some accurate leaks and others missing the mark, meaning these images could be fakes.

As the iPhone 17 family is likely about eight months away from its official unveiling, it is plausible that a final design has been decided and manufacturing partners briefed. This means individuals outside Apple may already know the appearance of the new iPhone 17.
