AUSTIN: DigitalOcean (NYSE: DOCN), a leading provider of scalable cloud solutions for tech companies, launched its new GenAI Platform today at the Deploy 25 developer conference in Austin, Texas.
The GenAI Platform enables customers to deploy AI agents using foundational models from third-party providers, eliminating the need for advanced expertise in AI or machine learning. This platform is designed to cater to both AI novices and experts, facilitating the setup of AI agents with access to robust data pipelines and multi-agent workflows.
“Generative AI is continuously evolving, and our team has worked tirelessly to create an easy-to-use platform that seamlessly integrates with customers’ existing infrastructure,” said Bratin Saha, Chief Product and Technology Officer at DigitalOcean. “Our goal is to make AI accessible to all developers, regardless of their expertise level.”
Key features of the GenAI Platform include the ability to integrate unstructured data from files and structured data from databases or APIs, enabling the creation of rich Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows. The platform also supports function calling, allowing custom code integration, and includes guardrails to manage agent responses and filter out incorrect or inappropriate results. Additionally, the platform supports private endpoints and provides a built-in chatbot interface, simplifying the deployment of AI agents on websites.
Florian Bauernfeind, Managing Director at Autonoma, shared his excitement about the platform: “With DigitalOcean’s new GenAI Platform, we can quickly create intelligent AI agents that understand each customer’s specific context and language, making it easy to manage large volumes of documentation and enhance customer experiences.”
As DigitalOcean continues to expand its AI strategy, the GenAI Platform provides valuable resources and functionality for businesses looking to stay competitive. The platform, which was available to select customers in a private preview late last year, is now accessible to all customers starting January 22, 2025.
