PARIS, FRANCE: Bureau Veritas, the global testing, inspection, and certification giant, announced today the acquisition of Versatec Energy B.V., a Dutch technical advisory firm specializing in the offshore and onshore energy sectors. This strategic move aligns with Bureau Veritas’ LEAP | 28 strategy, aiming to strengthen its foothold in the rapidly growing renewables market and underscore its commitment to the energy transition.

The acquisition is designed to enhance Bureau Veritas’ ability to provide comprehensive solutions to power sector clients, addressing both current and future challenges of transitioning energy sources. It also expands the company’s service offerings in critical areas such as oil & gas, nuclear energy, and renewable energy technologies, including offshore wind and carbon capture storage & utilization (CCSU).

Versatec Energy, known for its expertise in health, safety & environment, operational excellence, technical compliance, and smart digital solutions, brings over 40 years of industry experience. The company has played a pivotal role in over 1,500 global projects across Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. Based in the Netherlands, Versatec Energy employs 35 experts and reported revenues of €4.2 million in 2023.
