Schroder British Opportunities Trust makes private equity investment in Acturis Ltd

LONDON: Schroder British Opportunities Trust plc (SBO) confirmed a new private equity investment in Acturis Ltd, a leading SaaS provider for brokers, insurers, and managing general agents across the general insurance market.

Acturis was founded in the UK in 2000 and has grown to support over 100,000 individual users in more than 40 countries.

The company, which has won multiple industry awards for its products, has seen strong organic and inorganic growth in recent years, following expansion into Germany, France, Canada, Ireland, and the United States, in addition to the development of industry leading products and services to meet the growing demand for electronic trading of insurance policies.

The capital invested will be used to support Acturis’ expansion and innovation efforts.

This will be SBO’s eleventh private equity investment, with the private equity portfolio comprising of ten investments.

SBO gained exposure to Acturis via Schroders’ long-standing investment partner, Astorg, a leading European private equity firm, that will partner closely with Acturis to drive the company’s international growth.
