LONDON: DG Innovate (LSE: DGI), the advanced research and development company developing pioneering solutions in sustainable mobility and energy storage, is pleased to announce that ex-Tesla electric motor design engineer Pierre Pellerey has been appointed as the Company’s Chief Technical Officer (“CTO”), a non-board position.
Pierre was previously appointed as a consultant to the Company, as announced on 3 May 2024.
Pierre holds a PhD in electrical and mechanical engineering and has over 15 years’ experience in the design, optimisation and testing of electric motors and drive systems through to production. His motor designs are in more than 3 million electric vehicles, 10 million home appliances and 100,000 micro-mobility solutions. Pierre was instrumental in the design of the Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model S Plaid and Semi motors. He also played a key part in the design of the V10 motor design during a three-year tenure with Dyson.
