AMSTERDAM: CTP, Europe’s leading industrial and logistics property developer, has been commissioned by PsiBufet and Butternut Box, top dog food manufacturers, to construct a specialized facility at CTPark Zabrze.
This facility, spanning nearly 40,000 sqm in the Katowice Special Economic Zone, is set to become a production hub for fresh, healthy dog food, targeting distribution across Europe.
PsiBufet, a Polish brand known for fresh, custom-made dog food, joined forces with Butternut Box, a UK-based leader in the industry, to enhance their reach. The collaboration aims to meet the increasing demand for quality pet food, with the first products expected to roll out by mid-2025.
The project’s feasibility was secured through a £280 million investment from General Atlantic and L Catterton in 2023. David Nolan, CEO of Butternut Box, expressed excitement about the new factory, which will expedite delivery to numerous dogs across Germany and mainland Europe.
Piotr Wawrysiuk, PsiBufet’s founder, highlighted Upper Silesia’s strategic location, skilled workforce, and infrastructure as key factors in the decision. The site’s proximity to major motorways will ensure swift distribution throughout Poland, Germany, and other European nations.
CTP’s Bogi Gabrovic and Łukasz Tomczyk emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting the growing demand for dog meals and the strategic redevelopment of the ZAB3 building to mirror the high standards of Butternut Box’s existing facilities.
The new production site is a testament to CTP’s expertise in complex manufacturing processes and marks a significant step in Poland’s role as a regional hub for fresh dog food production.
