LONDON, UK: Bytes Technology Group plc, a leading UK software, security, and cloud services company, has announced the appointment of Sam Mudd as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately.
Mudd, who has over two decades of leadership experience, has been part of the Bytes Technology Group (BTG) Board since July 2023 and served as interim CEO since February 2024. She is credited with driving significant growth at Phoenix Software Limited, a subsidiary of BTG.
Additionally, the company has appointed Ross Paterson as the Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee, starting 1 June 2024. Paterson, a Chartered Accountant with extensive board experience, will also join the Nomination and Remuneration Committees, succeeding Erika Schraner as the Interim Chair of the Audit Committee.
Anna Vikström Persson has also been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective from 1 June 2024. Persson, with a strong background in human resources and corporate governance, will join the Audit, Nomination, and Remuneration Committees, bringing valuable expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
In line with its commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, BTG is establishing an ESG Committee to oversee the company’s sustainability strategy, employee matters including DEI, and business conduct. The committee, effective from 1 June 2024, will be chaired by Anna Vikström Persson.
BTG will soon announce the release date for its preliminary financial results for the year ended 29 February 2024 and expects to conclude its investigation into the resignation of former CEO Neil Murphy before this announcement. The company confirms that no further details need to be disclosed regarding the recent appointments.
