To bolster its cyber threat intelligence (CTI) offerings, Intel 471 has announced the acquisition of Cyborg Security, a company renowned for its advanced threat hunting tools and expertise.

This strategic acquisition marks a milestone for Intel 471 as it aims to redefine intelligence-led threat hunting, positioning CTI as an essential element for effective and measurable threat hunting operations.

Jason Passwaters, CEO and Co-Founder of Intel 471, expressed enthusiasm about the integration of Cyborg Security’s innovative platform into their suite of solutions. “The addition of Cyborg Security’s advanced behavioral threat hunting packages, tailored to each client’s environment, complements our commitment to empowering customers with the tools necessary to stay ahead of evolving cyber threats,” said Passwaters.

The merger is a response to the growing convergence of CTI and threat hunting within the cybersecurity sector, reflecting the industry’s recognition of intelligence-led threat hunting as a vital component of comprehensive cybersecurity strategies. With the inclusion of Cyborg Security’s Hunter Platform, Intel 471 is poised to meet the rising security demands of organizations worldwide.

David Amsler, CEO and Founder of Cyborg Security, highlighted the shared values and practitioner-driven origins of both companies. “Our combined expertise will equip enterprises with the necessary resources to conduct best-in-class threat hunting, backed by Intel 471’s real-time insights into cyber adversary behaviors and targeted technologies,” Amsler stated.

Intel 471’s TITAN platform, known for its near-real-time intelligence on malicious actors and imminent threats, will be further enhanced by the acquisition. The platform’s human-led, automation-augmented intelligence is trusted by clients globally to navigate the complexities of the cybercriminal landscape and align security efforts with business objectives. As a trusted advisor, Intel 471 continues to support security teams with ongoing trend analysis and strategic guidance for optimal platform utilization.
