Brussels, Belgium: Skechers, The Comfort Technology Company, has announced the grand opening of its first concept store located on Rue Neuve, Brussels’ premier shopping avenue. This strategic expansion complements the brand’s existing store on Antwerp’s Meir and the upcoming Bruges location, slated for a mid-May launch.
Maurice van Berkel, general manager of Skechers USA Benelux B.V., expressed his enthusiasm for the brand’s growth over the past two decades in the Benelux region. “With our award-winning comfort technology products, we’ve catered to a diverse consumer base. Our new high-profile retail locations will further solidify our presence in Belgium,” he stated.
The Brussels store debut marks Skechers’ entry into one of Europe’s most vibrant and frequented destinations, offering both tourists and locals a comprehensive brand experience. David Weinberg, COO of Skechers, highlighted Belgium’s significance in the company’s operations, noting the European Distribution Center in Wallonia and the brand’s sponsorship of the Belgium-based Team WRT.
The newly inaugurated 5,270-square-foot store at Rue Neuve 64 showcases Skechers’ modern design ethos, featuring a vaulted entrance, a mural of Manhattan Beach, and innovative digital displays. The store presents an extensive range of footwear, apparel, and accessories, including dedicated shop-in-shops for Skechers Performance and Apparel, and showcases the company’s latest technologies.
Skechers’ offerings are augmented by collaborations such as the Skechers x Vexx capsule with Brussels artist Vexx, and a variety of comfort innovations like the Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins®, Arch Fit®, Max Cushioning®, and Air-Cooled Memory Foam® technologies.
