LONDON: Centaur Media, an international provider of business intelligence, learning and specialist consultancy, announced the appointment of Sarah Sanderson as Managing Director of The Lawyer, who will be joining the business on 1 May. Sarah will replace Jane Wilkinson, who will leave Centaur on 26 April to pursue a portfolio career.
In her role as Managing Director, Sarah Sanderson will bring expertise from over 30 years’ experience in data and insight services to lead the evolution of The Lawyer into a provider of business intelligence and learning.
Sarah joins The Lawyer after fifteen years at Kantar, including seven years at Kantar Media where she is Managing Director of the Target Group Index (TGI), the industry-leading source of consumer intelligence. She has previously held Director roles at other leading global market research organisations, including BMRB and IPSOS.
Joining in 2021, Jane has considerably strengthened The Lawyer’s position as the most trusted brand for the UK legal profession, developing its information subscriptions business and expanding its international reach. The Lawyer played a significant role in the successful delivery of the Group’s Margin Acceleration Plan 2023 (MAP23) strategy, which targeted an EBITDA margin of 23% by 2023.
Swag Mukerji, Chief Executive, commented: “The Lawyer is central to our ambition of becoming the business intelligence and learning partner of choice for business leaders. Sarah joins The Lawyer at an exciting time, as we look to build on the successful completion of our MAP23 strategy and drive the next phase of growth. The Lawyer is a leading provider of data and insight services to which Sarah will help build an even stronger understanding of customers’ needs, supporting its focus on customer-centric growth.
Sadly, Jane has decided to leave the organisation and I would like to thank her for her significant contribution to The Lawyer. Jane has been instrumental in the development of The Lawyer’s offering, joining us at the start of our ambitious MAP23 strategy in 2021 and playing a key role in its successful delivery. I will be sorry to see Jane go; she leaves the business in a position of strength, and we wish her well for the future.”
