3E, a global leader in compliance solutions for chemical safety and product stewardship, has finalized the acquisition of Quick-FDS, a top provider of workplace safety solutions in France. This strategic move, previously announced and now completed, significantly enhances 3E’s European footprint, particularly strengthening its leadership in the French market.
Quick-FDS, formerly under WEKA Group, collaborates with international manufacturers and users of chemical products, offering essential services for regulatory compliance and workplace safety. The company’s extensive Safety Data Sheets (SDS) library supports major corporations in meeting both local and international regulatory demands.
Greg Gartland, CEO of 3E, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “Joining forces with Quick-FDS accelerates our growth in France and reinforces our position as a global SDS management frontrunner, enabling clients to navigate the complexities of chemical and workplace safety regulations.”
The merger is seen as a landmark event in the Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S) sector, uniting two leading SDS management and safety solution providers. Robin Dualé of WEKA Group and JP O’Sullivan of 3E highlighted the combined entity’s enhanced ability to offer comprehensive solutions, facilitate informed decision-making, and mitigate regulatory risks.
3E’s acquisition spree, including Toxnot, Chemycal, and ChemChain, continues its expansion since parting ways with Verisk. Legal counsel for the deal was provided by Shearman & Sterling LLP and Proskauer Rose LLP for 3E, with Carlsquare and Astura advising WEKA Group and Quick-FDS.
