Getty Images (NYSE: GETY), the renowned visual content creator and marketplace, has announced the acquisition of Motorsport Images, a revered archive in the realm of motorsport photography. This acquisition includes the operative arm LAT Images, along with the Sutton, Schlegelmilch, Colombo, and Dukes Video archives, enriching Getty Images’ already formidable collection.

Motorsport Images boasts an impressive legacy, housing over 29 million images and 8,900 hours of premium video footage, chronicling the evolution of motoring and motorsport since 1895. Its extensive collection captures pivotal moments in history, such as the inaugural French Grand Prix, the first Le Mans 24-hour race in 1923, and every Formula 1 Grand Prix since 1950.
