Cohiba Minerals appoints Faheem Ahmed as new CEO

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Cohiba Minerals Limited, a company listed on the ASX and OTCQB, has announced the appointment of Mr. Faheem Ahmed as the new Chief Executive Officer and Mr. Jamie Larmont as a Non-executive Director, effective immediately.

Mr. Ahmed, an alumnus with dual degrees in Engineering and Project Management, brings over seven years of expertise in project evaluation, asset management, and risk modelling across various sectors including infrastructure and mining.

His recent leadership role at Viridis Mining & Minerals has been instrumental in steering the company into the Rare Earths sector, contributing to its successful exploration and development strategy. Mr. Ahmed also serves as a Non-Executive Director on the board of Viridis Mining & Minerals.

Joining him is Mr. Jamie Larmont, a veteran in the mining industry with a decade-long tenure at giants like BHP and RIO. His extensive experience in operational and project management is complemented by his academic background in Engineering. Mr. Larmont is recognized for his strategic insights into operational strategy and project value analysis, as well as his exceptional leadership in managing large teams.

The reshuffle also sees Mr. Mordechai Benedikt transition from Executive Chairman to a Non-executive Chairman role. Concurrently, Mr. Andrew Graham has resigned from his positions as CEO and Executive Director. The board extends its gratitude to Mr. Graham for his valuable contributions and guidance during his four-year tenure.
