Posted on March 5, 2024March 5, 2024

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Globe Metals & Mining Limited (ASX: GBE) has announced a significant leadership transition, with CEO Grant Hudson set to retire on May 31, 2024. Succeeding him will be Paul Smith, currently the Chief Operating Officer, who will take over as CEO on June 1, 2024, an ASX announcement noted.

Smith, who joined Globe in December 2023, has been instrumental in leading the company’s Optimisation Study for the Kanyika Niobium Project. His appointment follows a thorough selection process by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

With over three decades of experience in the mining industry, Smith has a track record of success in various senior executive roles, including positions at Aquarius Platinum Limited, Wesizwe Platinum Limited, and Impala Platinum Holdings Limited.

Outgoing CEO Hudson praised Smith’s appointment as a milestone for Globe’s evolution from a junior explorer to an operating mining company. Chairperson Alice Wong expressed gratitude to Hudson for his contributions and confidence in Smith’s ability to lead the company to new heights.
