Emma Tryti becomes new CEO of Airthings, a global leader in air quality solutions

Posted on March 4, 2024March 4, 2024

OSLO: Airthings (AIRX), a company that offers air quality and energy-saving solutions for homes and businesses, announced today that Emma Tryti will take over as the new Chief Executive Officer. Tryti is a former executive at Vipps and Kron, two successful Norwegian fintech companies.

Tryti said she was honored to lead Airthings in its next phase of profitable growth and serve its mission to empower the world to breathe better. She added that indoor air quality was a critical issue that affected health and well-being, and that Airthings’ products should be seen as essential rather than optional.

Geir Førre, Chairman of the Board at Airthings, said he was thrilled to have Tryti on board, as she had shown leadership skills and a track record of creating solutions people love. He said Tryti would help Airthings grow as a profitable hardware-enabled software company.

Airthings has a huge market opportunity, as there are millions of residential homes, offices and classrooms in Europe and North America that could benefit from its products and solutions. The company has reported promising results for the last quarters of 2023, with increased revenue, higher margin and lower costs.
