Five Point Holdings, LLC (NYSE:FPH), a leading developer of large mixed-use planned communities in coastal California, has announced the appointment of Mike Alvarado as its Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Alvarado will also retain his role as the Company’s Chief Legal Officer, Vice President and Secretary.
Alvarado is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in real estate, spanning various segments such as industrial, office, retail, and master-planned community development. He has been with the Company since 2011, first as General Counsel and then as Chief Legal Officer.
He has also been involved with the Company’s assets and operations for nearly 20 years, having represented them as a partner at Allen Matkins, a top-rated California-based law firm.
Dan Hedigan, Chief Executive Officer of Five Point Holdings, praised Alvarado’s leadership and expertise, and expressed confidence that he will help the Company execute its business plan and drive shareholder value.
Alvarado will oversee the entitlement and development of the Five Point Holdings’ communities in Orange County, Los Angeles County, and San Francisco County, which include the Great Park Neighborhoods, Valencia, Candlestick, and The San Francisco Shipyard. These communities are designed to offer a mix of residential, commercial, retail, educational, and recreational elements with public amenities, such as parks and open space.
