Tribe Technology PLC, a leading developer and manufacturer of autonomous mining equipment, has announced a joint development agreement with Veracio Australia Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Boart Longyear and a global leader in core and chip sample scanning.
The agreement will see the two companies collaborate on a new system for blast hole chip sampling, using their respective proprietary intellectual property. The system will enhance the speed, richness and reliability of drilling data and samples, and expand the offerings of both parties.
Tribe Tech’s CEO, Charlie King, said the partnership was an important milestone in their journey to become the market leader in drilling automation in the mining industry. Veracio’s CEO, JT Clark, said the partnership was an important step to extend their capabilities into production mining as well.
The smart mining market size is expected to reach US$23.05 billion by 2028, and Tribe Tech and Veracio aim to leverage their combined expertise and experience to capture a significant share of this growing market.
