Capgemini acquires Unity’s Digital Twin Professional Services team

Capgemini, a global leader in business transformation and engineering services, announced today that it will take on Unity’s Digital Twin Professional Services team, one of the largest groups of Unity enterprise developers in the world.

The deal, expected to close in Q2 2024, will enhance Capgemini’s ability to offer real-time 3D (RT3D) visualization software for the industrial application of digital twins, which enable end users to interact with physical systems in a virtual environment.

Unity, the world’s leading platform for creating and growing RT3D content, has been working with many companies over the past five years to develop RT3D solutions for various industries. With this agreement, Capgemini will leverage Unity’s software and expertise to help more clients realize the value of digital twins at scale, and to deliver sector-specific solutions for simulation, human machine interfaces, and immersive training.
