The deal, which was first revealed in December 2023, is part of Shiseido’s strategy to become a leading personal beauty wellness company by 2030 and to expand its geographic diversification and growth in the Americas region.

Ron Gee, the president and CEO of Shiseido Americas, said that the acquisition was an exciting step toward their goal and that Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare’s loyal consumer following made it the perfect addition to their portfolio. He added that they would work with the team to accelerate the brand’s growth plans.

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare was founded in 2000 by Dr. Dennis Gross, a former skin cancer researcher and dermatologist, and his wife Carrie Gross. The brand disrupted the beauty industry by introducing the Alpha Beta® Daily Peels, which became the #1 at-home peel in the US. The brand also offers a range of easy-to-use products that treat multiple skin concerns.
