Deirdre Hanford, a board member of Cirrus Logic, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRUS) since 2018, has been appointed as the CEO of Natcast, a new center for research and engineering in the U.S. semiconductor industry.
Natcast, which stands for National Semiconductor Technology Center, is expected to be established under the CHIPS for America program, a federal initiative to boost domestic semiconductor production and innovation. Hanford will not seek reelection to the Cirrus Logic board when her term ends in July 2024.
John Forsyth, President and CEO of Cirrus Logic, praised Hanford’s appointment as a major boost for the semiconductor industry and thanked her for her contributions to Cirrus Logic.
