Astek Group acquires Riversen, a French engineering consulting firm

The Astek Group, a global leader in digital and engineering solutions, announced on Thursday that it has acquired a majority stake in Riversen, a French engineering consulting firm specialized in the construction and industry sectors, infrastructure, energy, environment and transport.

Riversen, founded in 2017 in Lyon and based in Paris, has 350 employees in France and a turnover of 24 million euros. The firm offers a wide range of engineering consulting services, from design to production, for large-scale projects such as Grand Paris, EPR, high-speed lines, and more.

The acquisition will allow Astek to complete its engineering offer, to strengthen its geographical footprint and to support the development of its Global Business Line “Resources, Energy & Infrastructures”, which accounts for 10% of the Group’s turnover.

Riversen’s expertise will also complement Astek’s digital and engineering solutions, creating new opportunities for cross-selling and collaboration on promising projects with an expanded customer portfolio.

“This merger will allow Riversen to continue its development by benefiting from the presence of the Astek Group in France and internationally, bringing new opportunities to the employees,” commented Loïc Lénial d’Amari, founder of Riversen.

Julien Gavaldon, CEO of the Astek Group, added: “The acquisition of Riversen is a new step in our development. With the proven know-how of Riversen in the fields of construction, infrastructure, energy, environment and transport, we reinforce our “Intelligent Industry” branch with high-level skills in R&D, in consulting and realization of large-scale projects. We are now able to support our clients globally in France and around the world. I am very happy to be able to associate all the employees of Riversen to the development adventure of Astek as of now.”

The Astek Group, which has more than 5,000 employees in 20 countries, aims to reach a turnover of 1 billion euros in 2027, and 14,000 employees worldwide, through organic growth and targeted acquisitions.
