Sixth Street, a leading global investment firm, announced today that it has hired Marcos Alvarado as a Partner and Head of U.S. Real Estate, effective February 1st.
Alvarado will lead the expansion of Sixth Street Real Estate, a platform that invests in and finances properties across various sectors.
Alvarado has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, most recently as President and Chief Investment Officer of Safehold Inc. and its predecessor iStar. He also held senior roles at Cadre and Starwood Capital.
Julian Salisbury and Michael Muscolino, Co-Chief Investment Officer and Co-Founder of Sixth Street, respectively, welcomed Alvarado to the team and praised his expertise and track record.
They said that Sixth Street is well-positioned to offer creative and flexible solutions to the global real estate market, especially in the current environment of changing trends and volatility.
