LONDON, UK: Gama Aviation, a global aviation services company, has confirmed that it is in talks to buy Specialist Aviation Services Limited, a UK-based firm that provides helicopter emergency medical services and aircraft maintenance.
Specialist Aviation Services, or Specialist, operates contracts with several air ambulance charities in the UK and generated around £24m of revenue in 2022.
Gama Aviation said that the potential acquisition of Specialist is in line with its strategy to expand its Special Mission business, which offers bespoke aviation solutions for government and commercial clients.
The company added that the negotiations with Specialist and other key stakeholders are progressing well and are expected to be finalised in the next few weeks. However, it cautioned that there is no guarantee that the deal will go ahead and that the terms of the transaction are still subject to further discussions, due diligence, and board approval.
