Rebellion Defense, a leading software company for defense missions, has announced that Ben FitzGerald will become its new CEO from 1 January 2024.
FitzGerald, who has been the Executive Chair since May 2023 and an early investor since 2019, will replace Barry Sowerine, who will join the Board of Directors.
FitzGerald was chosen after a thorough search for a leader with a strong background in technology and defense, and a proven record of driving business growth. He has over 20 years of experience in various roles at the Pentagon, Congress, and private industry, and is widely respected by the Board, senior leadership team, and employees.

Sowerine, who led the company through a strategic restructuring and a 50% increase in annual revenue, praised FitzGerald as a seasoned and thoughtful leader who is uniquely positioned to drive the company’s future growth.
