AMSTERDAM: Cleo, a leading provider of ecosystem integration software, has announced the acquisition of its long-time partner ECS International, a cloud technology company based in the Netherlands.
The deal, whose terms were not disclosed, will enable Cleo to offer its Cleo Integration Cloud (CIC) platform to hundreds of existing and new customers in Europe, especially in the Benelux region, where many cross-border supply chains operate.
Cleo’s CEO Mahesh Rajasekharan said that the acquisition was a strategic move to expand Cleo’s global presence and deliver value to its multinational enterprise customers who have supply chain execution needs in Europe. He added that Cleo’s ecosystem integration technology would make European supply chains more efficient, reliable, and valuable.
ECS’s founder and CEO Ben Rinkel said that by joining Cleo, ECS would be able to bring the most sophisticated B2B integration solution to European businesses when they need it most. He said that ECS’s flagship product, ECS X4Connect, would continue to be supported and enhanced by Cleo’s technical and product innovation capabilities.
Cleo and ECS have been partners since 2005, and share a common vision of helping organizations deliver on their commitments across internal and external ecosystem stakeholders by increasing supply chain agility and resilience. The acquisition will not disrupt customer service, as ECS will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cleo.
