PARIS, FRANCE: Bostik, a subsidiary of Arkema, has announced its intention to acquire Arc Building Products, a company that specializes in tile adhesives, floor preparation systems, building chemicals and sealing & bonding solutions.
Arc has a strong presence in the Irish market, with annual sales of around €15 million and a production facility in Arklow, Co. Wicklow.
The acquisition will enable Bostik to expand its portfolio of high value-added solutions for the Irish construction market, which is growing due to the demand for sustainable housing and renovation. Bostik will also invest in the Arklow site to increase the local production of its solutions.
The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024, and is in line with Bostik’s commitment to deliver high-quality, sustainable products and foster customer intimacy, according to Vincent Legros, Executive Vice President, Adhesive Solutions (Bostik).
Arkema, the parent company of Bostik, is a global leader in specialty materials, with a portfolio of first-class technologies to address the demand for new and sustainable materials. The Group reported sales of around € 11.5 billion in 2022, and operates in some 55 countries with 21,100 employees worldwide.
