MDWerks, Inc., a sustainable technology company, announced today that it has acquired Two Trees Beverage Company, a fine spirits company that uses a proprietary energy wave process to accelerate the natural aging of alcohol in wooden barrels.
This technology produces high-quality distilled products in a fraction of the time and with less environmental impact than traditional methods.
The acquisition strengthens MDWerks’ technology portfolio and growth strategy, as well as bringing valuable brand partnerships, such as Tim Smith Spirits®, a critically acclaimed moonshine brand featured on Discovery Channel’s “Moonshiners”. Two Trees has a portfolio of more than 30 refined spirit brands, distributed across 29 states, and generated revenue of $2.1 million in 2022.
MDWerks’ CEO, Steven Laker, said that he was thrilled to welcome the Two Trees Beverage Company team into the organization and that he saw a significant opportunity to license the accelerated-aging technology to other spirit producers. He also said that the technology had broader implications for the food and beverage industry and that he believed it would be the catalyst for a revolution in beverage production.
