EnQuest announces new CEO for Veri Energy and new CFO for the Group

LONDON, UK: EnQuest PLC, an oil and gas company, has announced some changes in its senior management. Salman Malik, the current CFO and Managing Director of Infrastructure and New Energy, will become the CEO of Veri Energy, a subsidiary of EnQuest that will focus on developing the company’s infrastructure and new energy business.

Malik will also remain an Executive Director of the Board of EnQuest and align Veri’s strategy with EnQuest’s net zero commitment.

Jonathan Copus, a geologist and former CFO of Salamander Energy PLC, will join EnQuest as the new CFO on 1 February 2024. He will also be nominated for election to the Board as an Executive Director at the next Annual General Meeting. Copus has been the CEO of Getech Group PLC, a geoscience and geospatial company, for the last seven years. Malik and Copus will work together to ensure a smooth transition.
