SAN FRANCISCO: New Relic, a platform that helps engineers monitor and optimize their software, has appointed Ashan Willy as its new CEO. Willy, who has over 25 years of experience in the tech industry, will take over from December 4.
He was previously the CEO of Proofpoint, a cybersecurity and compliance company, where he led its growth and transition to a private ownership.
Before that, he worked at Webex, Juniper, Polycom, and Cisco in various senior roles. New Relic was acquired on November 8 by an investor group that includes Francisco Partners, TPG, Accel, and CapitalG.
“I have long admired New Relic as a true pioneer in the observability market, and am honored to have the opportunity to lead the company as it embarks on the next phase of its journey,” said Ashan Willy.
