PARIS, FRANCE: TotalEnergies announced today at the SOLUTRANS road and urban transportation trade show that it has launched a new service for electric truck charging in depots.
This service will help transporters switch to electric mobility by providing them with customized charging infrastructure that meets their needs.
TotalEnergies has designed an in-depot charging service that takes advantage of the time trucks are parked in the depot (usually 12 hours) to fully recharge the battery.
The service includes: Charge points that can charge the battery to 100% during the parking time. Ultra-Fast charge points (up to 400 kW) for additional charging needs.
TotalEnergies will offer a complete solution to customers, from assessing the size of charging infrastructure required for their fleets, to installing and supplying the charge points with green electricity, to managing and monitoring the charging process with smart tools, to providing 24/7 customer support.
TotalEnergies will also install charge points along Europe’s road corridors starting in 2024 to serve transporters’ charging needs outside their depots.
These will include high power charge points (HPC1) for mandatory breaks on long trips and slow charge points at rest areas for overnight charging.
“By developing infrastructure and offering low-carbon solutions to transporters, we aim to support them in their fleet management and energy transition on a large scale. Leveraging our strong position in electric mobility in Europe and our close ties with the transport sector, TotalEnergies has developed a solution tailored to transporters’ needs,” said Mathieu Soulas, Senior Vice President New Mobilities & Marketing at TotalEnergies.
