Bowman Consulting Group Ltd., a national engineering services firm, has announced the acquisition of Dennis Corporation, a civil engineering, surveying and construction management firm based in Columbia, SC. Dennis Corporation provides a range of services for public and private sector clients, including transportation, aviation, water resources and public facilities.
The acquisition will add 40 technical and administrative professionals to Bowman’s team and expand its geographic footprint in the Southeast region. Bowman’s chairman and CEO Gary Bowman said that Dennis Corporation shares the same culture of commitment to client service and that their expertise will complement Bowman’s recent acquisitions. Dan Dennis, CEO of Dennis Corporation, said that joining Bowman will offer new opportunities for professional development, work-sharing and service offerings.
The acquisition was financed with cash, seller notes and equity and is expected to be immediately accretive. The Company expects the acquisition to operate at an annualized net service billing run rate of about $4.5 million.
