Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY), a leading provider of instrumentation, digital imaging, aerospace and defense electronics, and engineered systems, announced today that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Xena Networks ApS, a leading provider of high-speed Terabit Ethernet validation, quality assurance, and production test solutions.
The acquisition will further strengthen Teledyne’s position in the protocol test market and enable it to offer a comprehensive suite of products and services to its customers.
Xena Networks, headquartered outside of Copenhagen, Denmark, specializes in Ethernet traffic generation and network emulation test tools that support up to 800Gbps Terabit Ethernet data rates. These tools are essential for validating the performance and reliability of next generation network components and systems that are driven by the increasing demand for artificial intelligence, machine learning, high-performance computing and 5G applications.
The acquisition will complement Teledyne’s existing portfolio of protocol test solutions, which include network protocol analysis and error injection tools for PCI Express, USB, storage and networking technologies. Teledyne also offers video, Bluetooth and WiFi protocol test solutions through its previous acquisitions of Quantum Data, Frontline and OakGate.
