Galan acquires lithium projects in Canada

Galan Lithium Limited (ASX:GLN) has announced that it has entered into a joint venture agreement with Redstone Resources Limited (ASX:RDS) to acquire 100% of three lithium projects in the James Bay region of Quebec, Canada. The projects are located near the recent discovery of high-grade lithium pegmatites by Patriot Battery Metals Inc (TSX.V:PMET).

The James Bay projects cover 5,187 hectares and consist of the Taiga, Camaro, and Hellcat projects. Initial exploration by Axiom Exploration Group Ltd identified 28 prospective pegmatite dykes on the properties. The Taiga project shares a boundary with PMET’s CV8 pegmatite, which has samples averaging 4.6% Li2O, and the Camaro project is adjacent to PMET’s CV13 pegmatite cluster.

Galan and Redstone have also secured an option to acquire 100% of two lithium projects in Ontario, Canada. The PAK East and PAK Southeast projects cover 1,415 hectares and are adjacent to Frontier Lithium Inc’s (TSX.V:FL) PAK Lithium project, which contains North America’s highest-grade lithium resource and is the second largest in North America by size.
