SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Pioneer Lithium Limited, a new player in the critical minerals sector in North America, has announced the appointment of Clinton Booth as its first Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Booth is a seasoned mining executive with more than two decades of experience in the industry, having worked for Fortescue Future Industries and Galaxy Resources (now Allkem) in various senior roles.
Mr Booth has a track record of delivering successful project development and operations across multiple continents, covering both hard rock and brine lithium projects. He also has expertise in global land acquisition, permitting and approvals, M&A and joint venture integration.
Pioneer Lithium Executive Chair, Robert Martin, said that Mr Booth’s skill set would be invaluable to the company as it embarked on its growth journey in the rapidly growing critical minerals sector in North America. He said that Pioneer Lithium was well positioned to capitalize on the increasing demand for lithium and other critical minerals for the clean energy transition.
Pioneer Lithium is focused on exploring and developing its flagship project, the North Star Lithium Project, located in Nevada, USA. The project has a large landholding of over 10,000 acres and is adjacent to Albemarle’s Silver Peak brine operation, the only producing lithium mine in North America. The company also has a portfolio of other prospective lithium projects in Nevada and Utah.
